
The 36th Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show, held from March 13-15, 2025, at the Old Myrtle Square Mall in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was a spectacular event that drew thousands of car enthusiasts from across the country2. This three-day extravaganza, showcases over 3,500 pre-1989 cars and trucks, making it the largest independent classic car show on the East Coast.
Retro Myrtle Beach Guy, a popular YouTube personality known for his love of all things retro, attended the event to capture the action for his channel.
The Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show featured a variety of activities and attractions, including 150 vendors and sponsors, celebrity appearances by Joe and Amanda Martin from Martin Bros Customs and Iron Resurrection TV Show, and a collection of iconic movie cars. Spectators had the opportunity to meet the car owners, learn about the history and restoration of their vehicles, and participate in a silent auction benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society!
In addition to the impressive lineup of classic cars and trucks, the event also supported several charitable causes. Over the past 35 years, the Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show has donated close to $2.5 million to various charities, including the Children's Miracle Network at McLeod Children's Hospital. This year's event continued the tradition of giving back, with proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and silent auction going to support these worthy causes.
